Who is merging?

Templafy has acquired iWRITER, resulting in the creation of the leading enterprise document automation and template management provider.

What is ‘iWRITER’?

With more than 350,000 users at 1,200 businesses, iWRITER (like Templafy) gives access to Microsoft Office templates (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word and Excel), corporate brand identity assets, logos and linked data.

Why did Templafy acquire iWRITER?

Templafy has always respected iWRITER as a strong player in the market and when we had the opportunity to join forces, it was an easy decision because together we can deliver even more value to our fast-growing customer base.

What is happening to Templafy and iWRITER’s products now?

We will take no immediate action on the products offered by either Templafy or iWRITER. ‘iWRITER’ will remain the name of the product sold to existing iWRITER customers until those customers choose to move to Templafy’s platform.

How will the products eventually be integrated?

Our long-term plan is to develop a solution combining the best of both our products on a single platform and continue to develop innovative new functionality. The platform integration effort will make new functionality available over time to current customers of either company, and as a merged entity with greater scale, we will be able to accelerate research and development, thus bringing new and improved functionality to the market, faster.

What is the timeline for these changes?

We don’t expect to move any customers to a new platform for at least the next 12 months.

How will existing Templafy and iWRITER customers be affected by the merger?

All customers will continue to receive the products and services they are paying for and continue to receive iWRITER account management and support.

As we consider migration strategies, we are committed to giving customers access to the best of both Templafy and iWRITER, plus innovative new functionality. We recognize that stability and planning is important to our customers and will naturally notify any updates in advance.

Who should prospective clients talk to about purchasing either Templafy or iWRITER products?

For new customers, only sales of Templafy will continue. For existing iWRITER customers, in order to get the best information about purchasing further products, it is best to talk to your existing iWRITER account manager.
