THE classic!!! People don't use on-brand templates and images because it's not easy to find what they need.

Where do I start?! I mean nobody wants to break the brand rules on purpose, but since it’s too difficult to stay on-brand that’s exactly what's happening.

Every country, and even units from within the same country, has its own preference for how documents should look and they don't necessarily follow the company's visual identity and guidelines.

Marketing Project Manager
I've come across employees adding individual, off-brand email signatures or campaigns and we've no way to avoid this happening. Painful indeed 😉

I'm not gonna Iie, it's not easy to enforce our brand guidelines. Spa day needed 😀

Head of Marketing Operations
Love this! I spend a lot of time reviewing company documents and presentations for brand compliance because I can't trust people who have found the most up-to-date templates and assets.
Jessica D.
Marketing Executive
What frustrates me the most, I keep seeing the old logo being used even though we launched a rebrand nearly 6 months ago! Argh!
John F.
Head of Brand
I've seen some very odd-looking email signatures that definitely would not impress the brand department lol

I'm not a designer so making a deck that looks super nice takes a LOT of time, and who's got that? HELP 😉

The communication around the brand isn't great so it's up to my team to find out what the latest versions are. Time not well spent!

Sales Leader
The never-ending story! Some create new and "better" templates for themselves. Some use our old logo and tagline from 5 years ago. And while some try to stay on brand by choosing colours that are similar to our brand colours, they never succeed to use the correct colour codes. All this despite our templates and design guides being easily available on our intranet 🙄

Immer diese Fragen: Wo ist das Logo? Welche Farben? Wo ist das Template? Dabei hat man doch alles mehrfach geteilt und kommuniziert. Danke fürs Zuhören 🙂

Marketing Manager
When people spell the company name lowercase. It's all caps - always, forever, amen! It's on the logo, the website, the intranet, it's in the brand standards, and yet, our own team members continue to send me correspondence using it lowercase. I die a little inside each time. 🙂

- Old templates used by employees, many years after they have been deleted
- Difficulty to make people contribute to the slide library: an easy way to for an employee to propose a slide to be added could be a good idea!

When you see someone in sales using an outdated template, not only in the using incorrect branding but not even our new Company Name!

I WOULD LOVE TO SEE A FUNCTIONALITY IN TEMPLAFY WHICH GIVES YOU OTHER OPTIONS TEMPLATE BASED ON SAME CONTENT. I MEAN IN CASE YOU ARE CREATING A PRESENTATION USING SAME WORDING OR IMAGES, THE OTHER PRESENTATIONS COULD APPEAR AND SAVE PEOPLES TIME WHEN WORKING ON SAME SLIDES BUT FROM DIFFERENT AREAS FROM SAME COMPANY.

VISUAL MERCHANDSING MANAGER
People go rouge when a tool isn't adequate for them. My biggest challenge is getting good insight into what challenges they are having.

CMO
Last year we launched a new visual identity that was vastly different from the previous brand identity. A significant amount of time, effort and budget was invested to roll out the new brand across assets and channels including a pretty awesome PPT Masterdeck. I had an instance where a colleague presented at a conference using the new deck, but repurposed slides from an existing deck in old branding. This was then distributed to all attendees. It was a 'head on desk' moment.

Brand Manager
I am working in an architectural office. What do architects like to do most? Design! So hey we have a new ppt template - let's change it! A bit higher here, text fields always on the left instead of the right and we could change all the colours too, couldn't we?
Barbara M.
Head of PR and Business Development
Powerfull roll-out of templates to ensure a consistent brand - and learn users how to use the templates easyli.

Branding team itself does a great job but currently we are facing a lot of extra work with a brand refresh (is it necessary? Who knows). On top of that the usual, people not reading communications and being confused where to find things and the likes 🙂 a spa day to steam off extra work load? Hell yeah!
Eva-Maria F.
Marketing Manager
We are a huge organization with many subsidiaries and markets around the world. Purely relying on humans alone to ensure consistency and on time delivery of brand assets is becoming a competitive disadvantage for us.

It's very hard sometimes to find the latest template and assets that I need to present professionally to my stakeholder.

Using old versions they've saved to their personal drives.

To make it easy for everyone in the company to find the on-brand assets and templates. And to make all understand the guidelines are there to be followed, it doesn’t matter if you personally prefer different colors or type of imagery.
Gisele R.
Brand Lead
When, despite all systems and processes you have in place to manage the consistent and considered application of your brand, people decide to design and publish their own content, with their homemade logo designs, ignoring all the rules, ignoring the approved colour ways, introducing their fave font types (comic sans) and…*urgh, I give up!
Cara S.
Corporate Communications Manager
Team's going rogue! Especially when they use old assets when newer assets have been socialised numerous times and old assets have been wiped from shared systems.
